★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was an awesome experience. I have done some small boat sailing, consider myself an amateur, but love sailing and I thoroughly enjoyed the trip in every way! Rick and Robin are great hosts sharing many stories along the way. The trip included; sightings of many birds including penguin, dolphin, and gorgeous scenery. The stop in the secluded bay was the midpoint of the trip which included a swim, a hike to a beautiful lookout, and topped off with Robin's delicious lunch. I would go again in a heartbeat!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were looking at other options for a day of sailing when we checked in to our hotel they recommended sailing with Rick and Robin. What a great recommendation. A wonderful day of sailing with a very entertaining and incredibly knowledgeable couple. We sheltered in a small bay and enjoyed a wonderful lunch while staying on board. A few of our group chose to go ashore to explore. Can’t say enough about Rick and Robin. They provided a wonderful, very enjoyable day. Highly recommend!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely the best way to see the Bay of Islands. Rick and Robin offer a six-hour sailing cruise on a former racing yacht with lunch on board. We shared the trip with three other people; the small group made for a very personal experience. The boat was Rick and Robin's home for many years, and they shared fascinating tales of their lives in sailing. Lunch was home-made and delicious. A unique experience and a highlight of our holiday!

It felt like being warmly welcomed into a familiar and dear friend's home in paradise. They are both incredibly knowledgable about sailing, the Bay of Islands, and the world. The lunch was delectable and nutritious-filled with quality, local ingredients masterfully crafted together with love by Robin. Rick and Robin's thoughtful touches throughout the day was the icing on the cake of a beautiful, deep, meaningful, and luxuriously relaxing experience. Honestly, the Phantom Sailing Bay of Islands was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable tours I've ever been on, and I look forward to taking friends and family on this absolute gem of an experience for many years to come!
