★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time ever to a Pita Pit & probs not go back. Slow meat was frozen so took longer but told this at ordering. Asked for fresh but got toasted. They had run out of carrot. So all round not a good first impression .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I thought chain place. It won't be very good. So, I was quite surprised by the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Good portions for the price and staff were friendly. I was particularly pleased with the vegetarian options.

Apparently, they use the same gloves to grab the ingredients to do a meat and vegan dish.

Have an excellent array of choices and food always tastes fresh.
It's a little on the pricey side, but it's understandable since they use free range and free farmed ingredients.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got a refund today because I turned up to collect my online order, nobody was in the shop but there was my order at one end of the counter, sitting in a crumpled bag with the smoothie next to it and the receipt with my name on it sitting in front of it, so I took it and went to cancel my scooter at the door since I didn't have a carry bag to hold the food. Out comes a staff member to check if I was the person who was supposed to take the order. I got a few meters away before I checked the bag and just took it back because it wasn't what I'd ordered and it looked unappetising and very small compared to my last Pita Pit salad (from Pita Pit Featherston St) which had been really good and exceeded my expectations for a takeaway salad. I told the staff member it wasn't what I had ordered and asked if she thought it was worth $20, or $15 without the add on smoothie and she offered me a refund straight away. I did apologise that I didn't want to be painful but that I'd had such a good salad last time that I hadn't been expecting this. The staff member's response was that she checked every time, that the food going out was like this so I explained I'd gone to Featherston St previously and they said yes that's why. So heads up if you want good Pita Pit, go to Featherston not Victoria St, otherwise you're getting ripped off and missing out on yummy lunch.
