โ โ โ โ โ As a female, don't go to Dr Islam. He is singularly unhelpful, patronizing and I found more helpful information doing a Google search. My visit set me back $40. I should have just ripped the $ up as that's what I got from Dr Islam. Be warned.

โ โ โ โ โ Dr Islam, looked at the squamous cell carcinoma/ skin cancer on my leg pressed it and told me it would get better............Of course it didn't! This is not a "scam" it is the truth. You should take this matter seriously as the matter I have referred to above is true and amounts to medical negligence by Dr Islam. Of course Sky Dancer is not my real name but I am a real person.

โ โ โ โ โ I've been registered with this centre since I was born, but any time I come, the nurses seem very rude. In the past it used to be an old one, but she's since gone. Obviously an unhappy place to work in, but you should never allow that to flow on to your customers. Yesterday one snappy nurse said no walk ins, even though I was the only patient in the centre at 8am, and only required a 2 minute timeframe to get a tetanus shot. Had to book an appointment for said 2 minute timeframe later that day, but thankfully got a different nurse who was pleasant.

โ โ โ โ โ My family and I have been with this Medical Centre for many years and have seen a few ups and downs in this time. However, I really can't recommend this practice to anyone as their communication regarding important scans, hospital notes is non-existent. I have tried repeatedly over the last few days to talk to a nurse/GP regarding my latest CT scan which has been impossible and there is no option to leave a message for someone to come back to you.
I eventually went to the practice in person and asked to get a copy of scan so I could see it for myself and there are cetainly things that need to be explained to me.
I have again called numerous times with the reception to ask the nurse/GP to call me to discuss the scan....I'm still waiting. Awful, awful service especially when it is important. Please do not expose yourselves to this kind of debacle and enrol with a decent practice that value the health of their clients.

โ โ โ โ โ Dr. Islam is very professional and listen to your problems very carefully and provides you accurate medication with the right treatment . He has been always helpful to my family and myself for last 6 years. Thanks to Point Chev. Medical to have doctor like him. One of the best doctor in Auckland. Highly Recommended.

โ โ โ โ โ Very disappointed and shocked at the way I have been treated regarding obtaining a Covid test certificate during a very difficult and stressful time. I was unaware of any fees for tests so asked at the time of booking appointment if there was a fee with which I was told NO. After having the test I received a phone call approx. an hour later demanding $189 otherwise they would withhold my certificate. After several phone conversations with what felt like multiple staff I ended up agreeing to pay $100 and at this point it wasnโt about the money but more for the surgery to take ownership of the poor communication their end. Upon arrival to collect certificate with which I had to chase, I was then told yet again that I owe the remaining amount with which I refused given we had an agreement. The receptionist (I wish I had got her name now) turned around and said โwell if you donโt pay it she will have toโ pointing to the younger girl next to her. Disgusted at how she tried to put that guilt on me when this has been a sh*show from the get go! Needless to say I am changing GP which is a shame as I quite liked my doctor. Iโve never in my life written a google review but felt people should know.

โ โ โ โ โ Poor health care - inattentive staff - and a high turnover of staff - a few years back there were some good doctors here but they all mysteriously left at the same time. I was enrolled here until I had a medical emergency while on holiday in Bali and they did not bother to respond to my calls and emails asking for help and medical advice - no response period! That is absolutely shocking. I fired them as no way will I accept such a standard of poor health care. Just read the reviews here! Avoid Pt Chev Med Centre - they provide poor substandard health care and there are obviously some problems in the culture of this organisation run by Dr Islam. Just avoid and go somewhere else. I reported Dr Islam to NZ Med Authority for his substandard health care.
