β β β β β We employed PCL Northland to grind our pool surrounds after the original pour had been caught in the rain. Not only were we very satisfied with the result but we now feel it has greatly improved on what we had envisioned. Everyone we dealt with was great and we would highly recommend them.

β β β β β Polished concrete did my floor after we lifted the carpet of our 1980s built home.
Their work was done to a great standard and whenever we get visitors they almost always comment on the polished concrete.

β β β β β Polished concrete was professional to work with, however their work is not because they left our job with a sub-standard finish. You can clearly see the polishing lines in our brand-new floor that make a potentially beautiful job, look quite awful. We paid 100% on the basis that they would make good, and yet we are still waiting for a solution. The last response from Polished Concrete Limited was they ONLY offered to fix up the floor as "good will". Not happy at all.

β β β β β Seven years ago during the renovation of our home, we were told the concrete slab that was part of the living area couldnβt be polished, as it was too powdery. Not wanting more wood, tiles or carpet, we decided to have a βconcreteβ flooring substitute laid over top. Initially this looked great, but it began to lift and peel after a couple of years. We contacted the team that installed it, who took one look and then never returned our calls.
After a few years and a couple of DIY attempts to stop the spread of the lifting βconcreteβ, I decided to start ringing around some concrete specialists. Eventually I was told by other concrete specialists to ring the team at Polished Concrete Ltd. I sent photos and they came and had a look, after which they decided to take on the challenge to fix our floor and provide us with the polished finish we were told 7 years ago was not possible.
The result⦠an amazing polished concrete floor, especially considering what they had to work with. The team on site were amazing and kept us updated on the progress, as the floor needed a lot of attention.
Thanks again to Dean and his team, it was an excellent effort and outcome.

β β β β β I generally don't like to spread negativity, but my experience with Polished Concrete Ltd. (PCL) was so horrendous that if I can save even one person from the misery and aggravation that I suffered it will be worth sharing this review. I would give them zero stars if I could.
I engaged PCL to grind and polish my concrete floor. The job went wrong from the start and the results were disastrous.
They arrived 1/2 day late and rushed the job to make up for lost time. They pushed the grinders too fast, grinding in swirl marks and they didnβt overlap their tracks grinding lines into my floor.
The custom colour we had was irreparably lost. I was told only the concrete dust from the floor would be used as filler and I agreed to fixing the cracks. When we discussed filling the expansion joints I was told there was only one material (a blue/grey colour) available, which I rejected and therefore we did not have the expansion joints filled. However, the crew widely spread this blue/grey material over the cracks and ground it into the floor changing the overall colour of the floor from a green tint to a blue tint.
The edges along the walls and around the corners were not ground and polished as they didn't have the proper equipment to do this.
Late in the process a black tar-like filler was used to cover areas they missed. It was not ground or polished off and was smeared over the floor.
When they said they were done and I pointed out these problems they said if I wanted them to do anything further there would be additional charges.
And most egregiously, they repeatedly pressured me - at least 3 times- to sign off on the job, even after I pointed out all the problems listed above that they had failed to fix.
I had to hire another company to redo the entire job and take PCL to the Disputes Tribunal where I was able to recover most of my money.
Avoid them like Covid!

β β β β β Polished Concrete recently did 3 seperate areas and finishes in my new build house in Whangarei. Garage floor had the top surface polished and sealed to prevent staining and dust. The bathroom was polished to a high standard.
The highlight was my outdoor patio which PCL guided me to help sprinkle coloured glass that I had collected! See the photos below of the stunning results. Although shiny its not at all slippery!
All the work was carried out to a high standard and very efficiently, Iβm very happy with the result!
