★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was super excited to give the Portershed a try for breakfast mid roadtrip! I love going to cafes that have all-vegan menus. Sadly when we arrived the Portershed has decided to not check vaccine passes and limit their business to takeaway only. We left because we couldn’t get breakfast, but also because I don’t like supporting businesses that encourage the endangerment of public health.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a newly discovered vegan, I was absolutely thrilled to find a place I could go into and EVERYTHING was vegan. They have a lovely and quite large display of vegan options, I ordered the toasting and it was AHMAZINGGG and the girls also suggested I tried coconut milk in my coffee and they were so right. My belly is full and I feel great and so blessed to have found such an awesome place. Thanks ladies I'll be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely nachos, coffee and the best Afghans ever! Love this place! Their stance to try and be includsive considering the current climate is courageous and a very costly choice to make. Thank goodness we're not swiping science credentials to enter the door! I think many of us would fail there. However the opportunity to enjoy great food and coffee with wonderful accommodating service from such warm people, is a luxury not worth missing out on!

Iced soy late is very delicious, coffee has a great taste. Highly recommended place.

Not to mention an epic selection of vegan friendly groceries. The best plant friendly selection arguably in NZ!!
