★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want a Third-World rental experience, then Taupo Property Brokers have you covered. They never remove their shoes when they preform property inspections. Their communication is rude, obnoxious and racially charged. They mostly ignore your maintenance requests and then give you threatening notices when the property is not perfect. And if they do property maintenance, they don’t give you advanced notice of when the maintenance worker will show up. They do all of this only because they know you have no choice but to put up with them due to the undersupply of rentals. Overall, Property Brokers rental staff represent everything that’s wrong with New Zealand’s rental market. The only good thing I have to say about these guys is that they pushed me back overseas where we have First-World housing.
