★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great little gym with a good atmosphere, wide range of equipment, friendly owners and fellow gym-goers. I have tried a few gyms in Whangarei, and Pumping Iron is by far my favourite. I highly recommend it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been a member at Pumping Iron for over 4 years now. It's the only gym I've felt the most comfortable in.
The trainers are amazing, helful and very friendly.
When i first started i wasn't 100% sure which areas to target and how to use the machines. I was given a program to follow that gave me full body workouts until i was comfortable targetting specific areas.
If i was unsure for how to use a machine or which technique was correct the trainers would help and I'd continue on my way.
If your looking for an amazing gym that has all the real steel weights i highly recommend checking them out online or popping in for a tour around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great little gym which can be commended for constantly changing and improving its layout, equipment and user experience. In fact it's quite astounding how much equipment has been managed to fit into the relatively small floor space, yet it all flows and makes sense. Having said that, this is still an "old skool" gym that has more in the way of free weights and traditional gym equipment, and less of the machines. It's a friendly and supportive environment, where everyone is bettering themselves, not judging others.

10/10 would recommend to all kinds of people of all age groups!
