★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On of the best hostels, I have ever stayed in. Free kayaks, bike-hire for $ 2 per hour, free spa pool and sauna, heaps of games available in the community room. Clean facilities and reasonable prices. A great place to meet other people. Surfboards and wetsuits for hire, the owners offer free transportation to the close surf-beach. Lots of activities around, I stayed longer than I had planned to

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great vibe, staff is very, very helpful! Free use of single kayaks. SUP, boards/suits, and double kayaks for rent. Sauna & hot tub.
Close to everything and music venue (Yot) 5 min away...Check it out!
Update 16/1/20: still one of the best places on the north island. Clean & well maintained facilities... highly recommended! I stay here every year

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff(including the cat Meg), definitely nice vibe with great view, amazing location..... Was quite noisy with thin walls at night... girls shower broke so had to use unisex which wasnt the best.
Found used cotton bud when entered room so cleanness isnt at top notch...if you are looking for some private time better consider again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hostel, good facilities and very clean. Quite expensive for a hostel, but hot tub and sauna make up for it, as well as beautiful sunset views. Also, pretty much the only option for backpackers in the town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best backpacker experience I ever had!!!! You indeed feel like a part of a family. They offer free kayak for the estuary, and you can rent bigger kayaks for the coast at a really competitive price. The little garden inside is lovely. It’s just a completely relaxing and entertaining time spent there. A great way to end my month-long NZ trip. Thank you. You guys are superb!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best hostel I've ever stayed in. Relaxed atmosphere with great facilities and staff. Rental, activities, kitchen and the crowd it gathers all perfect. Great location on estuary and easy to get to surf beach. Rooms (we stayed in an 8) clean and very comfortable with great courtyard area and hot tub. Kitchen well prepped. Staff all friendly and healthy and provide daily update of best activities. Will definitely try stay again.

The moment you step into the place the energy of the staff, the owners, and the other guests warms you right on up. My two days turned into 3 weeks so far in Raglan because of these lovely humans. Plus, who knew you could find such stunning views, a spa, comfy beds, and even great shower pressure all in one place?! I felt so fortunate to be there for the two weeks I was and would recommend this gem of a spot to anyone!!

Really cozy, clean, super nice kitchen you'd actually want to cook in, very relaxed people and vibes, rooms very friendly and lots of good spaces to hang out. You can meet and hang out with other people or find a quiet spot to read a book, all up to you.
