Nestled in a stunning scenic reserve, Te Kauri Lodge has old style charm
with a range of walking tracks right on the doorstep.
Just an hour’s drive from Hamilton and 20 minutes to the picturesque coastal settlement of Kawhia,
it’s an affordable venue for schools, other groups and events.
$1.00 from every nights stay goes toward conservation of the reserve.
The lodge, built in 1961, is owned by the Hamilton Junior Naturalist Club.

β β β β β Didnβt stay here just stopped in the car park to do the walking tracks. The sheep track was overgrown and many many steps :) the swing Bridge at the bottom of Manuka tracks was lovely.

β β β β β Spent an extended family get-together weekend at Te Kauri. An amazing facility. Loved the tramping through some of what can only be described as spectacular native bush that is unique to NZ. Will definitely be back - Highly recommend

β β β β β What an amazing spot this property is, a true NZ gem. Our family held a gathering here for all ages. The lodge is well equipped for self catering. Tracks Bush Quite it caters for all.

β β β β β Beautiful lodge in a beautiful spot with beautiful bush. The walking tracks were awesome and catered to all fitness levels in our group. The lodge itself had all the things one would expect for a tramping lodge and was lovely and clean. The fire place was a welcome bonus for our winter adventure.

β β β β β Some of the most amazing scenery and tracks around. Accommodation is basic but has everything you need including lovely hot showers. Make sure you get a look at the museum too.

β β β β β The host's are very nice people the place was nice as well no 5 star hotel but I liked it had a filleting station for fish plenty of beds to sleep on and the showers were good, good pressure some great walking tracks around the property
