About The Institute of Awesome (Karioi Lodge)
Give back to schools via Special Projects ?️♀️
Come and have your next leadership offsite at the Institute. You will be taken through leadership development with a unique twist as you will help design the next project for kids to come and learn about environmental technology while solving a real-world problem.
You will be involved in the planning, designing and building of the project. We can customise your experience to include accommodation at the lodge, all meals, entertainment, guest speakers and facilitation.
Each retreat booked sponsors one or more schools to come stay and work on building the project too. You help kids have a life changing educational experience they would not otherwise have.

It´s really like making holidays and you can finde peace and realex :)
All the people are super nice and friendly and it´s really fun to hang out in the evenings!
The group room ist super cousie and you can watch movis, play billiard or chess.
The best thing is deffintly the surfing! Soooo much fun and the teacher are really helpful and always try to give you tips ...
I had an awsome time there and want to go back !

Even better location, it even had a zipwire (in the night time there are glow worms along each side of the zip wire , it's pretty special to watch on the ride down) the food there is great they cater for vegetarians :-) pool table film's , good people ! About 5 mins walk down to raglans famous left hander !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a really interesting place for a hostel. The rooms and facilities are built onto the hillside. Getting from your room to the kitchen and bathrooms is a bit inconvenient. But it's a great location and Inspiration Point is beautiful addition!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an amazing place!! We stayed here with our campervan for a night, and felt right at home. We rented two surfboards from the lodge and had a blast on the waves. The people are super friendly and atmosphere is relaxing. Loved it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a really great place to stay in Raglan. There's a really big kitchen and a smaller one. There's free wifi everywhere and the facilities gets cleaned properly everyday. They even have a sauna and a big chill out area. The people are very nice and the surf lessons they offer are great as well. They also offer yoga lessons everyday on a awesome platform with a stunning view on the sea. There is really nothing to complain about, I can highly recommend this hostel.

Nice simple cabins, great sauna and showers and the shared hall is well stocked with games, books and other wonderful fun things. My daughter and I very much enjoyed our stay ?
