★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful meals I had roast lamb with all the trimmings including mint jelly, gravy as well as cheese sauce for the fresh veg. My husband had battered cod which he said was beautiful. Friendly staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: Rooms were clean, warm and tidy. Price is good, restaurant on site is very convenient, no issues.. Negative: Continental breakfast was as basic as you could get, it was sufficient but it would be great to see some toast bread even, not sandwich, which when you toast it turns into a wafer lol.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reviewing for the bar..... Terrible meal. Cannot even give 2 stars. We ate it but it was not tasty at all....... Steak was the worst! Funny taste and just not good (that’s feedback from a chef).... Food was tasteless... Go to the restaurant down the road that everyone recommends!!! That one is recommended for a good reason! Waipiata Country Hotel..!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is passable. The staff at the restaurant/pub provided one of the most cold and indifferent services I’ve ever experienced in nz. Zero conversational skill or incentive; zero response to the four “thank you” I gave her for her service. Drive to waipiata country hotel for much better service and food if you don’t mind an additional 10 minute travel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The female staff member was not really interested in engaging conversation or bar service. She was very unhelpful. The menu was poor quality and expensive.
The female toilet had a hot tap. But some one has removed the tap handle so it can't be used. The lounge where lunch was was extremely cold. Decor old and depressing. We sat next to a window with the sun pouring in.
