Our Location
Rivertime Lodge is located at 1569 Whanganui River Road.
From Wanganui, head north on SH4. Approximately 3km past Upokongaro turn left onto the Whanganui River Road. Rivertime Lodge is 15km up this road.
From Tongariro National Park/Raetihi, head south on SH4 down the Parapara Highway. Turn right onto the Whanganui River Road. Rivertime Lodge is 15km up this road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Geräumige Lodge direkt am Fluss, einsam und allein, nachts der Sternenhimmel über uns. Ein Traum! Gut ausgestattet, bequeme Betten, viel Platz. Sehr sauber. Bei Bedarf kann man Essen vorbestellen, die Besitzerin Gill bringt das warme Essen vorbei, kümmert sich auch so um die Gäste. Wir haben viel über Schafzucht, Wollpreise und Angus Rinder erfahren. Schade, dass wir nur eine Nacht geblieben sind.
 Spacious lodge right on the river, lonely and alone, at night the starry sky above us. A dream! Well equipped, comfortable beds, lots of space. Very clean. If necessary, you can pre-order food, the owner Gill brings the warm food over and takes care of the guests. We have learned a lot about sheep breeding, wool prices and Angus cattle. Too bad we only stayed one night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved staying at Rivertime Lodge. Right on the banks of the river, with cabins as well as a wonderful shearers quarters lodge, it was a perfect. Very comfortable - everything you need. We stayed as part of cycling mountains to sea bike ride

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whilst the location of the lodge is quite beautiful, there were a few issues: 1stly no working wifi so it was impossible to make any forward plans without internet access. 2ndly the food pack promised did not live up to expectations being overpriced for what we got. However the fact that the new owners do not live local to the site & have yet to update the website from the previous owners probably goes some way to explain that. 3rdly the shower only produces a dribble of water - but that's the most minor niggle. Overall a pleasant enough stay tho.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brilliant spot to stay, handy for Te Araroa walkers for the final push into Whanganui. Close to the river so good for those on canoes or wanting to cool off with a swim. Great hospitality. Kitchen small and simple, does everything that you need.
