β β β β β I purchased a grab one voucher for a gel manicure. After reading the reviews I had pretty low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised to not find it as bad as other people described. The lady who painted my nails was friendly, though there weren't tons of gel colors to choose from. There's no cuticle cutting or anything, just some nail clipping, filing, and buffing. She did a fine job painting them. If you're just looking for a quick simple gel color without the frills then this is totally fine, but if you're looking for a salon that offers you water/tea and many colors to choose from, this probably isn't the place.

β β β β β Myself and one other got gel nails done. Mine were terrible (not sure if I can upload a pic). The polish wasn't on evenly with blobs everywhere.
Then the person I was with got a pamper package (massage, facial and pedicure).
She said it was good, but what concerned me is the lady left the shop while the pedicure was on it's last few minutes of drying, and she never came back! So we were in a salon by ourselves for 20 minutes till we decided to leave. On top of that we had our appointment changed twice, they were lucky we were able to make the earlier time.
Please note, Royal Spa is run by the same people who own Asiana Day Spa.

β β β β β I booked an appointment for a body wrap which according to their website, the wrap consisted it was for head, neck and feet but that wasn't the case; as it only covered the feet. It was just a body wash.
It was supposed to been 1 hour long, including a shower after the body wrap, but it wasn't much more than 40 minutes.
There was no customer service at all.
I don't recommend this Spa to anyone.

β β β β β Did not enjoy my experience. Very unprofessional and average massage. I got a 60min massage off Groupon for two people. The massuses spoke to each other during the massage, taking away from the relaxation and every time they spoke they either softened their massaging and did it in the same spot over and over again or just stopped massaging altogether.
Very bad customer service as well, no welcoming us, just taking us to a room.
Do not waste your money here.

β β β β β Friendly enough service to begin with. Massage was okay, I could have sworn the masseuse was on her phone at the end because only one hand was on me yet I could feel the other one moving beside me. Whilst doing this the pressure became less and less until she realised and quickly went back to harder pressure. I was left to get dressed and expected to meet someone at reception so I could say thank you and sort out the the grabone voucher etc (the norm when you get a massage). No one was there, so after a few minutes of waiting I just left as it was already paid for. Communication with booking was a bit strange too, long waits and they asked for a voucher number rather than a cellphone number yet responded as if I had given them the incorrect piece of information.

β β β β β Having been bought a Groupon voucher for a massage for my birthday, I have been waiting for the right opportunity to use it.
My partner called up to book the appointment and was given a three week wait, which I found to be quite ridiculous. So I rang up and asked for an appointment for today, did not mention a voucher and was told I could come at any time.
I find this level of customer service to be absolutely abhorrent and completely disrespectful to a customer who has already purchased the product. How can you expect to have repeat customers if you cannot even book an appointment in a realistic timeframe. After questioning who I assume was the owner, she tried to get me to go to another site and pay more money to use it. Also refusing to acknowledge how bad this situation was. I would not recommend using their services if this is how they would treat a potential new or repeat customer.

β β β β β Firstly it was incredibly hard to book in, and I wouldn't say the customer service is the best. Anyway once arriving started early, which was great. They let me pick 3 different options for my package, again great. But the massage itself was poor. Don't get me wrong, was relaxing until the music from upstairs came through. The massage was poor because of the lack of technique, i really feel that there is no knowledge behind the massage. Just literally rubbing oil in the skin - up n down for the whole duration of each massage.

β β β β β One of the best massages spot ever in Wellington CBD! And Iβve had my fair shareβthey really know what they were doing. The rooms are large separated with curtains and the masseuses are not dressed in pretty attire vs the standard black polos and black pants. All super sweet ladies though.
Only thing I have noticed is the direction were not very clear to get to the spa from the Courtney place.
I also noticed the massage tables/beds were large and elevated vs being on the floor. They even accommodated me even though I was 10 mins due to heavy traffic congestion . A surprisingly nice touch of maasage!
