Don't go there!

I was gifted a voucher for a whole body massage for my birthday. Unbeknown to my kind friends who simply bought a voucher - assuming they had bought me a regular massage - without asking questions, and after booking through a very deceiving website with stock images of women looking relaxed and calm, what I experienced was far from it.
In terms of ambience, you get what you pay for; a room with a curtain door and faint music from a central sound system trying to reach all rooms. The massage however, was no firm pressure, gliding of hands but more of an extreme sports massage combined with extreme pressure point manipulation. To no fault of my masseuse, who said he studied Physical Therapy in China, this is probably what he signed up for - but for someone who intended to spend the afternoon 'zenning out' I was met with quite the opposite. I experienced full body sweats from the panic induced as the pain seared from each pressure point, being told to 'relax' my incredibly tense body as I tried to resist the pain, to groans, inconsistent breathing and the faint cry to 'stop' - it probably sounded like I was going through labour. So did the lady in the stall opposite me. My masseuse would count down three seconds before releasing or tell me which area it was healing followed by an "always" rather than taking the pressure off. Possibly a good tactic if the customer isn't so tense and upset she's noticeably sobbing.
Overall, if you're into this kind of massage, possibly you've come to the right place - but if you're an unsuspecting client like I was, please beware!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found this little gem at Newmarket, i am not on a schedule for a body treat but I can't say no to their inviting ambiance so i've tried their special neck and shoulders massage for 20mins! The masseur was very professional and really a master of his craft! I can feel all the stressed and strained points where he focused, this place is highly recommended! Stunningly clean, great vibes, relaxing music! You must try their service! And yes, i will definitely be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gifted a voucher by my husband, I went along for a relaxing head, neck and shoulder massage. 4 days later I find myself in excruciating pain along my neck and shoulder blade. Relaxing, it was not. I liken it to a massage gun operating on double-speed across some of the most tender parts of your neck.
As previous reviewers have said, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it if you know what you’re getting yourself into.
