β β β β β THE WORST EXPERIENCE AND THE STAFF. MISBEHAVING AND MANHANDLING STAFF. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MASSAGE PARLOUR. Masseuse used a very hot towel without checking the temperature and burnt my skin. Masseuse did say sorry. So, I continued with the massage. After the massage, when I gave the feedback about the same to the OWNER (lady's name is Nong as per the other lady Staff member; not sure whether that's her real name or not) to consider the feedback and take care in future and also on a lighter note I said that if my skin gets swollen then I told her that they have to pay for it. Then she behaved very RUDELY by defending her point without even checking the facts with the Masseuse. After I continuously pursued, Nong/Owner went and checked with Masseuse and came to know the fact and NOT even said sorry after that. Despite that she started YELLING at me and behaved very cheap and I have to react. Looked like that she was NOT in normal state of mind. She started insisting to take the pictures of my skin which I allowed but she did not stop there and went on to argue show the other leg when I kept saying that the skin on the other leg is normal and I don't feel any burning sensation. After that she kept yelling going around the shop and later started insisting me to leave and also tried to man-handle by pushing me using my right hand. I asked her to back off and said that I will call the POLICE. And even after that she still was out of line and shouting at me to leave. When all this was happening I kept asking the other staff member, who seems to be reasonable, whether there is a CAMERA/CCTV installed to record what the Owner was saying and doing but looks like there is NO CAMERA fixed. I did not call the Police as there is NO CCTV Camera installed to show the CCTV footage proof to them. Looks like the Management did not install the Cameras to escape from these wrong doings. What kind of attitude is this? I am from a professional background and I felt it's low to talk to these unprofessional and cheap attitude people. So, I left from the place. What's happening at this place that too in Auckland/NZ? I believe that this Owner does not have any plans to continue doing this business and have plans to shut this shop very soon.
Note: Because of the offensive language used by the OWNER in her response to my previous review, google automatically hiding the review unfortunately. So, I am posting it again.

β β β β β I had an extremely experience last time and an extremely bad experience this time with same ladyοΌ
I dont know whyοΌI asked her do a bit harder when she is doing my shoulder but nothing changed.
So when I back home I had to massage myself.
I have been Bodhi Tree many yearsοΌthis is the worst experience I have ever had. So disappointed

β β β β β Absolutely love this place! Whenever I am feeling overwhelmed with everything they always do their best to find an appointment for me. Every single time I leave feeling relaxed and in control again. (Not to mention my body feels amazing too!!)

β β β β β I never leave a bad review but this new owner is the WORST business owner I have come across.
I have been to this spa many times before and have always enjoyed it hence why I purchased a Concession Package.
Recently after finishing my massage, I was told my package had expired and I had to pay for that session. I realised afterwards they booked and charged me for a more expensive massage than my package. Also why was I not told that my concession expired when I booked?
New owner said she had offered a 2 month extension to everyone whose package ended during last yearβs lockdown including mine that ended in September but said I just hadnβt been back in time; November. After I left, I realised Spas would not have been able to operate until 3rd of December last year. I emailed her back asking for a refund of the recent massage and that the extensions should start on the 3rd of December. She then replied saying I only had 17 days left between my expiry date and the beginning of lockdown and that it was added on from the 3rd of December, so it was already finished.
I never received ANY information about extension dates, so how are customers supposed to know and use them?
She is no longer replying to my emails. And after questioning her about not notifying her customers about a change of ownership and policies of business and a notification of extensions, she suddenly posted an announcement dating it β1st of October 2021β and giving extensions to only those from October, purposely EXCLUDING people like myself. How is it fair you are giving some people extensions and not all?
She has made excuse after excuse just to avoid any responsibility and claims she has been through a hard time due to covid and that the previous owner took all the concession money and she was left to pay for rent during Covid. Please, EVERYONE is going through a hard time including your customers! You were FULLY aware of everything when you took over the business.
Everyone is going through a tough time, but her ignorant attitude is what will stop customers from going back. Such a shame she has tarnished the good reputation that previous owners have built up over the years.
Would NOT recommend. She definitely does not treat her customers like friends or family.

β β β β β I have been to Bodhi tree many times before and loved every time but this time it was disappointing. First I had a foot massage followed by a full body massage. Massages were OK, however the therapist didn't leave the room while I got ready/undressed for the 2nd massage. It was awkward. Also I had to say a few times and then with hand gestures every time I needed her to reduce pressure. At the end while stretching she had my body exposed and didn't bother to cover me. I ended up asking her to stop and cover myself. Disappointing experience. I was later told she's had over 20 years of experience ??ββοΈ

β β β β β Good location with convenient parking. But disappointingly very average massage and poor hygiene standards. Room wasn't too clean and towel on bed looked like it wasn't changed...
The lady was lovely but pressure too soft at the beginning so asked for more pressure but then was way too hard.
I have been here a few times before but just not as good as it used to be. Don't think I'll be returning....

β β β β β I have always enjoyed coming here. A peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and consistently good quality massages. However, I have noticed the change of ownership has impacted on the small little touches the previous owners had, such as the ambiance, relaxing music, incense, post massage tea etc. I will still return to see if this improves once the new owners settle in.

β β β β β It was my first time here and I had a really good massage. The therapist was very experienced. I didn't catch her name but the receptionist said her name was James. She found a lot of knots in my body and massage them. I was really tired and she made me feel better after. Thanks. I will be coming back soon. Tea was offered before and after my session which was really nice.
