About Sabroso Restaurant
Born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela to New Zealand parents, owner Sarah grew up experiencing the rich culture of Latin America, the charisma of the people, their hospitality and the delicious flavors of their traditional beverages and foods. Inspired by her childhood in Venezuela and travels throughout the Caribbean, Central and South America, Sarah and her partner John opened Sabroso in 2007 to offer guests a glimpse of Latino hospitality, food & drinks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there for dinner tonight and got the the Chicken Chimichanga. Really delicious flavours, thought the mango dressing on the salad was a great compliment to all the other flavours, and they have great hot sauce! Also excellent service. Highly recommend ✨✨✨✨✨

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just had dinner at this wonderful unique restaurant and speaking from my own personal preference this place has got to be the best latin restaurant Ive ever ate throughout my entire experience of eating outside. The staffs are also extremely friendly and nice which makes the dinning experience a whole lot better. If travelling to Rotorua again, definitely coming to this place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the most incredible gem hidden in Rotorua. My boyfriend and I came here tired from a day of biking and quickly regained our energy. Wonderful, passionate waitress served us and made the most devine cocktails I have ever had. Food was faultless - fresh, devine, and brought straight by the chef! Cannot recommend higher.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely blown away by this place! The service by Sarah was phenomenal, nothing I had ever experienced before. She is attentive and makes you feel completely at home. John was just as amazing with helping us decide on a dessert and making all the food. Everything we ordered was incredible, the margaritas are perfect, specialty coffees are large and delicious. Before we finished our meals we were already planning our next visit. Excellent price as well. See you again soon Sabroso, we are new loyal customers.
