★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were travelling from Auckland and decided to have dinner here. We ordered 4-5 starters and each one of them was awesome. Their chicken biryani was better than anything we have experienced in Auckland. We will visit Lovely India every time we visit Rotorua. Very fast and efficient service even though the place was full and busy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Literally the cheapest and stingiest place I’ve been to in my entire life. Just a few things I’d like to say for example :-
1) The quantity of portions have reduced drastically.
2) The prices went up but that is fine because it’s their menu and they can decide that but additional dollar for rice? Seriously? What do you think people are going to do? Buy the curry and drink it straight out of the container? ( This is after bumping up 2 dollars for the curry which makes it 19$ which is quite higher than other places in Rotorua.
3) Even the paper bags are charged. Yes that’s right even if you spent 60$ on an order, they’ll still charge 50 cent for a paper bag. I’ve seen my fair share of people who are cheap, but this takes it to a whole other level.
The butter chicken is actually quite good and tasty but the paneer was quite bad and salty. So the food depends on what you order but I would highly not recommend this place because it really makes a bad impression on a customer.

Despite the restaurant being extremely understaffed like the entire Hospitality industry as a whole at the moment, the service was amazing. Yuvraj was extremely attentive, smiley & friendly, and despite us watching him run around serving the entire restaurant by himself, he didn't let the stress show & ensured we had a wonderful time. The food was good & we would definitely all return again. Thanks team!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really lovely spot for dinner. I brought my family here last night - we have three vegetarians, a vegan AND someone with gluten allergy, and Lovely India catered to all of us beautifully. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive, all the dishes were absolutely delicious and the prices were fantastic. 10/10 we will definitely be back

I ordered food for takeaway and it was tasteless, spiceless. You might think it was so bad that i threw it in the trash.
I felt so bad that I spent my hard earned money in such a lousy restaurant and also paid 10% surcharge on top of it.
I also have an Indian Restaurant in Auckland. So, Let me know if the owner wants to taste real Indian curry flavor.

The waiter was great as he was always checking in on us and when even kept the jacket for us when we left it behind.
The portion sizes were not very large however and for what we paid I would have expected rice or naan to come by default with every curry. The dish in the picture shown is actually about the size of a large apple.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely India Restaurant in Rotorua claim to have the best Butter Chicken in town and my kids and I thoroughly enjoyed ours. The kids menu was perfect, with just the right amount of food to satisfy my tweenies. I really liked the surroundings also, it was quite relaxing. The staff were friendly and professional. The prices were also very reasonable. I would definitely go there again and would recommend.
