β β β β β This used to be one of my son's favourite restaurants. But our last experience suggests that after the recent changes, the place's best days might be behind it.
For dinner we ordered three south indian dishes but no alcohol. We were told that after 5pm if we are ordering only food without alcohol, we cannot sit in the regular seating area. Then we were shown to a dark and surprisingly unclean sitting area in the front by the street. We had never seen it occupied in all our earlier visits and that reflected in how poorly that area was maintained. As we were with kids and were not sure of the basic hygiene of the shown place, we thought better to eat somewhere else as there are many good options nearby. When we informed them that we dont want to sit in this area, we were asked to wait outside on the street for some reason and that they would get back to us. We thought may be they are reconsidering their decision. How naive. We waited around 10 minutes for them to get back and then finally I went in and checked with them. Only to realise that they had forgotten all about us and I only received a very curt 'you can leave' response!
The whole experience left a really bad taste and needless to say we are not taking our custom back there anytime soon.

β β β β β HONESTLY BEST IDIAN I HAVE HAD AND I AM NOT JOKING. We got butter chicken, rice and their garlic butter breads and it was amazing. I will 100% get it everytime Iβm near and to feed to people guide decent meals was only $28 and a bonus is who seemed to be the owner was super friendly.

β β β β β One of the worst vege fried rice I ever had. The entrance looks nice but worst food taste n high price on quality of food made it worse.
Not only fried rice. Once I ordered fish as well n it seemed like it was a tin fish served with rice. Can make better tin fish at home lol. Where is the fresh fish gone?

β β β β β This place is a true hidden gem, true South Indian street food, most evenings you will be lucky to get a seat. We ate loads, loved everything. The staff and atmosphere is fantastic, speaking with other diners, they travelled a long way to savour this excellent food

β β β β β Dahi Puri - WORST! ~ instead of puri, papdi was served, which was quite terrible, rock-hard crispness. This is not how papdi feels like. Not worth the price! No taste either!

Chicken Manchurian - Very hot ? Mouth-on-fire ~ extra ginger/ spices made the otherwise delicious unbelievably unbearable! They had to offer me yogurt. Couldnβt enjoy, shoved down my throat β¦..

β β β β β Cannot recommend Satya enough! Been to the K Road and Sandringham locations multiple times and they're always delicious, especially the starters. It was my parents' 25th wedding anniversary so we loved the little surprise touch they added to our experience. Lovely hosts and quick service, impressed and excited to go again.

Off the street down a nondescript alley is this total food gem.
Slow cooked lamb that melts in your mouth. Spicy chicken that was just yum.
If you want a chilled laid-back place to eat with some of the best tasting morsels you need to come here.
