★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a gem of a place, $20 per person per night, full on people enjoying themselves and one of the most amazing beaches with waterfalls onto the sand, listening to the noise of the sea as you fall asleep. We stumbled upon this by accident but will definitely be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Facilities here were in pristine condition, looking freshly painted in lolly colours. Unfortunately our double bed was like a bath: sleep possible for one, impossible for two. Very friendly population, dog friendly. Massive wide beach, shallow shelf with no rocks, weed, crabs or other bitey things. Delightful fresh water trickle so safe for littlies to enjoy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I give it a 5 just because it's very Kiwiana and delivers on clean and tidy. No fancy hair drier or spa bath but appeals as a homely traditional campsite. Paul and Sue were really helpful and friendly. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our go to place now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely clean toilets, well serviced plus recycling bins. Kitchen and other facilities. Wifi. Would be very busy peak time. Have to watch if you wanted to swim but great surf beach. Beautiful beach walks

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super position, 50 metres to the sea, the noise of the waves is stunning and also soothing, well laid out pitches oldish toilet and communal blocks but very serviceable. Quiet site after dark, viewed some sunsets just amazing. Friendly managers well worth a visit thank you Seaview

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really special spot! Right on the beach and the sunsets are incredible. We camped down the far end and felt very lucky to be able to be on the beach in about 30 steps! Facilities are pretty basic, but were clean and tidy. We were bargaining on the kitchen being a bit better stocked (there was no pots/pans/utensils) like other campsites we have been to, so ended up having to head to the nearby Awakino pub for dinner (which was a really good meal!). Not really the campsites fault, but would be a huge bonus to have a few more items to use in the kitchen. Liked the cute book exchange :)) Will be back!
