★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful freshwater swimming hole area around the ruins of the old Cement Works in Ww. A fair amount of carparking on the gravel beside the gated entrance to the Boatyard. Public toilets onsite, nothing else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is the ruins of an old cement works it very bad preserved, so there is no safe access to the ruins.
You can walk along the river. And enjoy the tranquility of the area.
Nice place to go for a quick picnic if you dont have anything better planned.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A hidden treasure in Warkworth. We love it here. Bring life jackets for your little ones so they can swim and have fun without you worrying too much as it is very deep. The teens love doing their bombs. Great picnic areas. Make it a day out with the family and don't forget your water toys. Toilets are clean. Dog friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place, spotted lots of little fish, eal, birds, etc. Ruins are great to look at and even walk through some. Some ruins need some restoration though... had a lovely picnic there with the fam, it's so quiet there. And the lake is breathtaking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fresh and unpolluted in the colder months - in summer there are nearly more people swimming than (friendly) eels. Someone should set up an jumping platform or better still, run an inflatable water park here.
