A great little beach to play with the kids, explore the tide pools and cool off with a swim

A lovely quiet beach with views of Kawau Island, Rabbit Island, The Beehive, Takangaroa Island, and Mullet Point. There is a small public changing room and toilet available here too.

Such a nice beach! And not many other people there when we went either (October school holidays).

The place is beautiful. The only problem is the traffic back on the way to SH1. Not too much parking available. Toilets are clean, please keep them as you find them.

There are no shops around, so grab something in Sandspit. It is worth coming down here for the beautiful views. Nice beach with shells for little ones to collect, and light sand to build castles with. Not a lot of seaweed covering the white sand. There are toilets to use, a table to sit at and a swing to play on. One tree to climb too. There is not a lot of shade, so bring sunscreen. Very relaxing out-of-the-way beach, so you won't have to share it with too many people. The waves are nice and light, so they won't topple a child.

We stumbled on this beach by accident. Fantastic find. Toilet and changing room available. A picnic table. Nice small beach good for swimming. Plenty of grass area for picnics and cricket. Only a few people on a hot summer dayso it seems to be a less frequented gem. There is limited parking spaces at the end of the road (and others were parking on the berm) and then a short walk down a moderately sloped path. Fine for most but might be a struggle for less abled.
