★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been coming here since 2015, service was previously always great. I think new owners and new front of house, could not conceal his frustrations throughout the service and made me feel small. I paid by cash and card, and he called over every worker and chef to come and see this and they spoke mandarin and made me feel so small and ashamed for paying in cash and card. I walked out tall through the alley of faces that pointed at me and shamed me. Shame on you, your customer service has gone really bad, I miss the woman who was previously front of house, with a warm smile and befriended me due to being loyal a regular customer. This new man in front of house, please train him to be polite and stop shaming others and ridicule them into how we pay. SHAME ON YOU. I am absolutely disappointed by their service, especially considering the fair and kind treatment that was given to the people before and after me. I will no longer reccomend this place to anyone to do takeaway or dine in ever again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Update:
Had their Spicy sensational chicken tonight - was a little average, lots of sharp bones so be careful when you eat; the noodles were so chewy which i really like!
Their dumplings and Xinjiang lamb noodles surprisingly good! just perfect when you want some pan fried dumplings

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We used to like dining here since 2016 but not anymore after today’s dine in. We usually order hot and spicy beef noodle soup because of its chunky beef, vegetables and tasty broth but today’s order was totally different from before. The soup is very oily, the broth is too spicy that it overpowers the entire taste of the soup and there’s sort of spices that were mixed like too much anise and alike, no more chunky beef and no longer generous with vegetables. Even the dumpling fillings were too oily that it leaves a very strange after taste in your mouth after one bite. We are so frustrated and will never come back. ?
I think they have a new cook/chef not the same chef as before ? In addition, toilet is so dirty. ? I will no longer recommend this to my friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used to be one of my favourite places but haven’t been here in years (too far). Was in the area today and decided to have lunch here. The actual noodles were fine but the broth was lacking a bit, more oil than flavour. I got the Kung Fu spicy noodles with Lamb. The lamb tasted like it had been sitting in the freezer for a bit and wasn’t at all appetising. Also go in with a very low expectation of any customer service. It’s pretty much non-existent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favorite places in Auckland for halal Chinese cuisine. Never fails to satisfy my hunger. Two of my favorite dishes is the spicy lamb fried rice and Goji berry lamb soup noodles.
There is also extra space upstairs if you see downstairs is full. Tight space but the food is awesome!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the way I like it!
Hand cut noodles with spicy beef soup, what a great combination it is!
If I had enough time I would definitely order large portion of that.
It's indeed a great Hala restaurant they are not only good at noodles they are also good at many.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A popular spot for Chinese hand-pulled noodles! We got the famous Xinjiang lamb noodles which was really rich in flavour and definitely had a kick to it. The texture of the noodles was top-notch and was exactly what I came here for. The lamb was thinly sliced and well-seasoned but could have done with more lamb, there were only a few sad pieces of lamb.
The kebabs were OK. The spring onion pancake was a good simple side dish. I highly recommend dipping it in the noodles sauce!
Portion was huge for the price and food came out fast.
