About Silvereye Flies & Tackle
Welcome to Silvereye Flies...the home of Taupo trout fishing flies for fly fishing primarily. We are also famous for our harling flies for the Lake waters and river mouths. If New Zealand made, authentic and genuine is what you are looking for, you have found us.
Our fly-tying company was established in 2006 and faithfully reproduces traditional trout and salmon flies. Nymphs, dry flies, wet flies and streamers are included in our catalogue and we also take some licence with 'blinging' up some flies. This online store for Trout Fishing flies (and salmon!) has been growing exponentially each year and accessibility with regards to payment has been made easier. All credit cards are accepted as are PayPal, Lay-Buy, AfterPay, Qoin and Bartercard. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was a traveller with a bunch of friends. Me and my friends were just looking for the reception to check-in, and we were really confused where it was 'cause it was late at night. Suddenly the guy working there just angrily rushed out and kicked all of us out for trespassing, claiming that it is a private property and we shouldn't be there. We thought that it was a misunderstanding so we just happily said "sorry we are just looking for someone who looks after this lodge cause we need a place to stay". We thought if we said that he would be like "ohhh they're customers!!" but NO he was like so persistent to calling the police, recording our van plate numbers and kicking us out!! Well there were like 6 of us, so he seriously lost 6 bunch of customers. So rude =.=
