About Silverstream Dental Upper Hutt | Lumino The Dentists
Ben graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (with Credit) from the University of Otago in 2020. He is passionate about holistic treatment and values the link between oral health and overall health.
He is interested in all aspects of general dentistry, from oral surgery through to crown and bridgework. He appreciates barriers to dental care such as dental anxiety and combats this in the office through his empathetic practice and gentle treatment. His goal is to have patients return for regular check-ups, so disease can be caught early and treated minimally.
Ben understands the importance of a balanced life and spends time outside the clinic enjoying mountain biking through the hot summers, and skiing in the winters. He loves cooking and is always trying out new dishes. World travel is also an enjoyment of his, having grown up in England and spent time in South East Asia.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently went to Lumino Silverstream after I got a sudden toothache and needed an appointment urgently. I’m terrified of the dentist and as such, have avoiding going as much as I should have.
I can honestly say that this was hands down the best experience I’ve ever had. Kathryn and her assistant were so lovely, took all my fear and nerves into consideration and made sure I was comfortable and understood what needed to be done or what they were doing each step of the way. I felt listened to and supported the whole time. I was also embarrassed about not having been to the dentist but I felt no judgement and they were both super kind about it.
I now feel like I have the confidence to go back for a check up because the experience was so positive. Highly recommend.

Dr Bjorn is hilarious and very personable. Not a problem to have consult info sent through to my hometown dentist for follow up. Thanks team, really appreciate!
