I have a huge fear of dentists. I saw Dr Richelle Tan yesterday for a check up. She was so gentle and very professional. I didn't feel a thing and my tooth she filled looks amazing. Thank you!! I highly recommend Richelle and will be back for future treatment

I am afaird to go to the dentist, but i had such a great experience at the tamaki clinic. I was well taken care of and it was so quick and not a lot of pain. Couple days after i was feeling great no swollening or anything. Thank you so much.

Dr Aisha Ali and receptionist/dental assistant (forgot her name sorry) were super-friendly and professional. Good communication and great service. All dentists are expensive, but there are a range of payment options advertised in the reception area which helps. Highly recommended!

So I had 2 wisdom teeth that needed to be extracted.? I was so nervous, but the dentist and her assistant ensured I was ok through the whole process, let me know what was happening, even put up with me squirming around in the chair. Lol All in all, was a good and safe experience. Will definitely be coming back. Thank yous??

Front desk was awesome. I felt welcomed in an instant (because I hate the dentist, I was so tensed and nervous). The Dentist lady and her assistant were pretty straight forward, did what needed to be done in a cool and calm nature. Even thou I felt pain (not to much) she (The dentist lady) always asked me if I was ok. So nice work to use both, and because I couldn't speak then, from the bottom of my heart thank you, thank you and thank you very very much, God has blessed you both. Have a good day and very merry Christmas to the Smile team out at East Tamaki.

Went here this time last year and saw Dr Richelle Tan. As it was my first time going to the dentist as an adult, I didn't know what to expect. She was very nice, but I suspect she either doesn't know what she's doing, is very bad at communicating, or is not especially trustworthy. I'll explain why. She noticed a "hole" in one of my teeth after an examination and x-ray and then another one while cleaning my teeth. I asked if they were cavities (which would need drilling) or fissures (that might need sealing) and after a lot of confusion she said there was decay and tried to get me to get them filled at the appointment. This wasn't good for me so I booked another day (I also wanted to get a second opinion from my dentist friend because I thought it was weird that the second hole wasn't noticed after the x-ray). Got the two filled by Richelle, but in the meantime I had noticed two other fissures in my teeth so got her to check them out. She said that there was some decay in both and tried to get me to get them filled at the appointment again (she quoted $150 so this wasn't going to just be a fissure seal). I was not confident in her abilities since she was telling me that I had two new cavities that she didn't find during the dental exam, so explained this to her in an email and got her to send my x-rays to another dentist. She backtracked, and said (after telling me I needed fillings ASAP at the appointment) that I could probably just watch and wait or have preventative maintenance. Anyway, I just got around to finding another dentist today (East Tamaki Dentist) and she said my teeth are fine and the fissures are just natural. The dentist there said that if I can keep them clean they won't need fillings. I was also charged $250 for the teeth clean and found out today that East Tamaki Dentist would have charged me about half that. TL;DR I think the dentist was either trying to convince me that I had cavities when I didn't or genuinely doesn't know how to tell the difference between a fissure and a cavity. Receptionist was lovely though.

Dr. Richelle Tan was very polite and there is a very calming aura about her. She's does an excellent job explaining what's going to happen and how much everything is going to cost you. I also really appreciated her flexibility when it came to the appointments themselves.
