★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I did a Google search for a 24hr gym in Palmerston North, and came across Snap Fitness. I was in Palmerston North for a family funeral, and was only visiting for three days. On the Snap Fitness website they offered a free three day trial - however it is only available to local residents. I discovered this after I'd already filled out the application, and left a phone message with staff member Stewart. Stewart called me back about an hour or so later. I explained to him that I wasn't a resident, and was only visiting for a few days for a funeral. He said that it wasn't a problem, and that I was welcome to come in for the free trial anyway. At the time - 5pm - I was literally on my way to the family service, and told Stewart that I wouldn't be free till at least 9pm, and I was keen for a workout. Stewart advised me that although he finished work at 6pm, he'd be happy to "run to the gym and open up for me" - anytime up to 10.30pm! I ended up getting to the gym a bit after 7.30pm, where I was greeted by a smiling and helpful Stewart.
Snap Fitness is a great modern gym, that has a very friendly vibe. It has a good mix of free weights and machines in excellent condition, as well as several treadmills. There are also some small-ish, but very well maintained shower/changing facilities.
I had a fantastic and enjoyable experience at Snap Fitness Palmerston North - all enhanced by the outstanding service provided by their staff member Stewart.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I first joined I didn’t know where to start. A friendly PT drew up a plan for me. I renewed my plan every 6 to 8 weeks. Now I’m confident enough to write my own plans. The staff are friendly and always willing to help when you need it. I love the new addition of ‘crowdDJ’ so I get to enjoy my music when iIwork out and not have to worry about earplugs. I love how clean and tidy Snap Fitness is too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely disgusting customer service, save yourself the incorrect late fees and flakey support team. Direct debits don’t execute on time resulting in late fees. Near impossible to get hold of the team. Broken website when trying to pay bill manually.
An associate wanted to pay the fee to conclude their membership and for the last week the call has just gone straight to answer phone.
Ignored emails about cancellation HOWEVER when I email enquiring about pricing I get responded to within an hour of opening times.
Toxic lock in contracts, terrible customer service. Would rate 0 stars.
Most of these reviews are fabricated on google as the google accounts seem to have the same password upon investigation ?️
Save yourself the drama and go elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a positive atmosphere here at Snap, Jen is always so friendly and helpful with anything you need. The gym is always clean and there is always equipment available to use. Open 24/7 so suits any time of the day workouts ?? Definitely recommend to achieve your fitness goals
