★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrived for my appointment at 9.40am, they were very busy so I took a seat waited 30 minutes, when a girl at the conter approached me and asked if I had been taken care of, I said no as I was waiting to be examined.
She said I should have approached one of the staff as now I couldn't be fitted in. I live one hour away and took time off work for this appointment. There was no sign at the counter to approach staff first.
My appointment was for 9.40am, I was there waiting, I feel I should have been called, they had my appointment on the computer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband, who is a Specsavers client, developed flashing lights and floaters in his vision whilst on holiday. He rang up the Kerikeri Specsavers branch for an emergency appointment as these symptoms can be quite serious and was told he would need to wait a month for an appointment! Way to go Specsavers, is that the way to treat a client in an emergency? Guess we will take our services elsewhere in future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a lovely Optometrist named Chelsey do my eye test today. She was very helpful with questions I had and informative about what I wanted to know. So easy to talk too. Very much appreciated.
Sorry the lady that helped me with my glasses choice etc. Thank you too for all your help and excellent customer service today too. You guys rock :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's such a wonderful world out there
We take it all for granted
And as our eyesight gradually changes
We start not seeing those seeds we planted.
Reading was becoming difficult
I couldn't do it for long
As for reading music or maps
The size of the print was all wrong.
The signs we saw in the highways
Were nothing more than a blur
I wasn't even noticing
Those wretched pieces of fur!
At least that was my excuse, my dears
For the terrible state of our dwelling
And now I have new glasses
A different story I'll be telling.
Reframing my world view my lovelies
Will give a new perspective
And in future writings you might see
Thoughts more introspective.
Our eyesight is an important part
Of life and living my friends
So please go and have that eye test
To view life through a brand new lense.
Most things can be overcome
For some it is the cost
But believe you me it's worth every cent
For without eyesight we would be lost.
A certain company advertises
Some very funny situations
The vet and the cat is one I like
And the one of the couple
In the wrong bus station.
You might know these
And many more
But having an eye test
Is the way to be sure.
That you are seeing
All you can
Be you boy, or girl
Woman or man
Have a good day
My darling ravers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give a zero I would, your Covid management policy is way over the top. It is none of your business where people go and what they do. If the authorities permit people to travel across borders with the correct documentation who are you to question it? From the moment I walked in to the store your lady barked at me about signing in, and made me feel like a leper. I absolutely acknowledge we need to keep people safe, however, in 18 months of the pandemic this is the only place I have been that questions people about their personal movements and insists on taking temperatures. Your overreaction is totally unnecessary, I have been a specsavers customer for 10 years, you wont see me again! The privacy and human rights Acts still apply!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the worst customer service I’ve had in a long time! I called up on the phone to see if I could get my glasses fixed and I didn’t even get an answer. I also didn’t even get to ask my other question before I got hung up on. Extremely disappointed! I’ve had more than enough experience with optometrists as I’ve had them my whole life and this is the worst I’ve ever had. Would not recommend at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been into specsavers twice in the last week. First was to have a look at the glasses I might choose and a quick consult before booking my appointment for a few weeks time. This lady was nice, she talked me through what to do in terms of getting assistance with work and income, she said to phone them and they will load it on my card. However when I first arrived the young girls serving me were quick to announce to the room it was for a green card and everyone working there even customers stopped and stared at me. I forgot about it because the lady I sat down with was nice and professional. When I went back in today with money ready and loaded onto my card I was served by another lady who told me it's not possible to pay in advance.. I was fine with that I would have figured it out and come back another time but her temperament was quite demeaning. As I left to hop in my car out front i could see them all talking about me through the window. I feel really belittled and embarrassed and feel that people come in there for help as you would any other doctor.. no one should leave feeling that way. As I'm a single mother and student I required assistance from work and income to fund my glasses.. sometimes people just need a bit of help. Doesnt mean they are any less worthy of assistance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely team! Booked my appointment online in advance. All the team members that I dealt with for my eye examination were super nice (beginning from the counter)! Especially the optometrist (sorry, I forgot his name), a younger guy, was really easy to talk to and super helpful answering all the questions that I had. One of the lovely team members even fixed my broken sunglasses without an extra charge.
Felt like a really good start into my day as it was an early morning appointment and quite a bit of travel to get there, but totally worth it! Thanks team!
