The idea for Stafford Road Wine Bar was born from travels to Europe and the United States in the 1990s where it was quite common to have both specialist wine retailer and wine bar operating under the same roof. It was at the turn of the century when Simon and Jacquie Mackenzie began work at Point Wines and first discussed the concept. About Stafford Road Wine Bar
On top of this, we offer four tap craft beers, thirty-plus craft beers by the can/bottle, superior spirit offering, and a selection of curated Stafford Rd cocktails.
For the interior of the bar, we deliberately preserved the old world, rustic character of this charming building built in 1911.
Refreshed in February 2020 the bar could easily be a speakeasy straight out of the roaring '20s with a modern touch.
Plush chesterfield furniture, brass, stained oak & white granite integrate to create a cosy and inviting place to meet with friends, colleagues, or partners for a glass of wine and some delicious sharing plates of food.
Plentiful outdoor sidewalk seating provides an opportunity to catch some afternoon sunshine and watch the world pass by.

With a comprehensive drinks menu of carefully selected wine, beer and an impressive line up of gin along with everything else, there is definitely something for everyone (and non-alcoholic options too). The service is always exceptional and the staff are not only super friendly but very knowledgeable with their wines too if you need a recommendation. It's always a pleasure.
