Literally one of the worst haircuts of my life. Don't go here if you are under the age of 40 and don't want to come out of it looking like Karen lmao. Asked for a short and choppy haircut and came out with a poorly done and uneven bowl cut at best.

One of the most traumatic experiences! I chose to use a trainee of Stephen Marr as I thought I would be safe with the results from a hair salon. How wrong I was! My hair was over bleached because the trainee had no supervision the whole session. She washed out the bleach, put toner in and then proceeded to brush out half of my hair - it was literally falling out in chunks in the brush! I left the salon with extremely dry thin and weak hair! After complaining over the phone, they invited me back to the salon for some complimentary conditioning treatments... the supervisor was finally there and had the audacity to say “oh it’s not as bad as I thought!” - sorry but you weren’t there in the first place to see what my original thick and healthy hair looked like! When the supervisor was discussing with the trainee what had gone wrong she continuously said “well another lesson learnt for you” to the trainee - what am I ? Your guinea pig?! To top things off, at the end of the day I received the rudest phone call from Steve who said “I completely disagree with everything you're saying” and finished our phone call by him hanging up! How mature! So now I’m left to fix the mess that his salon has made to my hair for at least a minimum of a year. I received no apology from Steve, he took no responsibility for this mess and I was refused my money back! I do not recommend this salon unless you want your hair completely ruined!

Nightmare Experience! It was my first visit to Stephan Marr.Made an appointment for haircut and styling with Senior Stylist for an important event. And it was a disaster! Instead of a beautiful haircut (was quoted $ 140) and a good mood, I came out almost crying with one thought: “how happy I am that this is not my children’s wedding!”.While in the salon the Stylist and Stephan told me that I don’t need a haircut. Trusting they're the professionalism I followed their direction and changed from haircut to “Cezanne”treatment. They did not tell me how it will affect my hair, just pressured me to do it and told me the price. I never had a reason not to trust the stylist (I only had wonderful experiences with other stylists!)As a result, I ended up spending $686 for the Cezanne (keratin smoothing), trim by 1cm, and “free” shampoo – and they still charged me for the haircut! I left the salon completely unhappy with my hair. After the initial shock wore off, I came back to talk to Stephan to express my disappointment. Mostly about lack of advice on procedure. He berated me and my sense of style and told me that my opinion was not important. What was supposed to be a great start to a wonderful day was completely ruined by the disappointment of hair I ended up with an arrogant behavior of Stephan when I tried to address it. Be careful, please!!P. S. If you still want to visit this salon. Take a screenshot of your online order. When I checked my order, it was completely different from not only what I initially ordered but also what was actually done to my hair.

This was my first time at Stephen Marr, I was recommended Shiai by a friend of mine and she is incredible! Having never met me before, she worked with my troublesome hair to help me achieve the nicest looking hair I’ve ever had. She’s lovely, a perfectionist which I love and really took the time to deal with my full head of incredibly thick hair! Would highly recommend ! Thank you!!

Was charged almost $400 to go blonder with medium length hair and the colour lasted 2 weeks at best. I also asked to keep my hair long enough to put in a ponytail for work but the layers fall out everywhere - it's been over a month and I still can't put all my hair up! eek

Hannah is by far amazing. I've seen her three times for bleach & tone root retouches and for vintage curls for an event (refer to photos). I highly recommend Stephen Marr as a salon, and especially Hannah as the stylist.

After a long wait to have my hair coloured I was so looking forward to this appointment that I must say it was the greatest disappointment! I was booked to see the “senior” hair colourist Shiai Piao, for a 6 hours appointment to get my hair colour changed. I was extremely disappointed with her level of professionalism and the manners while talking to me as she was extremely rude, discussing and talking to me on a very patronising /condescending manner and all the other clients next to me could hear it and they kept looking as how she was presenting herself. Some of the times she was quite aggressive while telling me off that I have had coloured my hair. I coloured my roots months before the appointment. I found it strange been told off for had it coloured in the past, because most of the people have had their hair coloured before. You would have expected that after spending more than 6 hours at this salon with a “professional” and paying nearly $700 you would have expected them to be a bit more polite on how they deliver / talk to clients and be able to colour your hair. She has bleached my hair which is part of the process, which is ok, I have shown her the picture of the hair colour I wanted; the hair at the front of the head was supposed to be blond, she knew that, as I have shown this picture to her in 2 separate appointments, the consult appointment and the actual colouring day, but she could not get that right too. She dried my hair and she knew the colour was not right and at the end of the appointment she said she was going to call me back in 2 days’ time to check if I was still not happy with the colour. I never got the call back. Within the first 15 mins of this appointment, I found myself so uncomfortable with this staff that I felt like leaving the salon, but it was too late. I have found this staff extremely rude and intimidating. I never thought I would be spending more than 6 hours at a hair salon and paying nearly $700 to feel like this. I would describe this one of the worse service ever!
