When you land you are taken by the airline vehicle to the village as the public cannot visit the air strip
Good views from the plane and a great experience
If there is no room on the plane they put on another. Very obliging.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Checked in my luggage only to realize I needed something from my bag. The pilot was really helpful in assisting me to get it. Also, my partner is quite tall, and the pilot put her in the seat with the most generous leg room. He also noticed I had a camera and put me in a good seat to take advantage of it. Really great customer service and skilled pilots!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Customer service is great, fast and smooth check in. if you book the water taxi to Ulva island with them they’ll provide lots of info for you about the island here too. Just a tad more for the flight tickets than ferry tickets with half the travel time ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We took to heart what a fellow passenger aboard TSS Earnslaw in Queenstown told us: Don’t ride a ferry to Stewart Island. Fly!! ✈️
And so we did. And we’re very glad about it! ? (The ferry was fully booked anyway).
A day trip in Stewart Island (and Ulva island) is totally doable. We really enjoyed the short trip and you can see the island from above. And the best thing is: It’s only 20mins to Stewart island. Fly in early in the morning (we flew at 9am) and came back the same afternoon. We felt safe during the flight, the plane has enough leg room, and they have very capable pilots. Smooth check in, smooth landing and they are right on time! Excellent service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We took the flight to Stewart Island instead of the ferry and we are so glad we did. It was a smooth flight quick and on time. Excellent service and transportation to Oban. I would highly recommend this as a scenic flight too, what a bonus. 8 passengers on a flight and plenty of room too
