โ โ โ โ โ Great place to eatโฆ. Amazing views โฆ look at the pictures they say 1000 wordsโฆ we had a buffet! Great range of food and well priced for what all you could eatโฆ sweet section was endless!! Did i say โฆKiller views!!! Worth evwry pennyโฆ take your time when u get here !

โ โ โ โ โ We went there for my wifeโs birthday (dinner). We understand the price, over $300, for two adults and two kids, including gondola, buffet and 6 drinks. Mainly due to the great place and view.
Lots of great waitresses, most of them bilingual, well prepared to receive the tourists from the world.
The buffet was a bit disappointed, much focused on Asian food and vegetarian. Only two beef options, and it was cold. My suggestion is to increase the Mediterranean menu with more pasta and beef, maybe more fish options as well. The deserts buffet is great with full of option.
Customer service in the buffet was not good and I saw many people complaining about it. Perhaps, it is an opportunity to instruct the cooks.

โ โ โ โ โ Our most recent visit was three years ago during the Christmas period. Our experience was incredible. We booked the premium window seats, and we absolutely love the 360-degree panorama view of the famous and extraordinary Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables, located at the peak of Queenstown.
The buffet menu was gourmet in its variety, with an extensive selection of food cuisines spanning from European to Asian to the Mediterranean. Desserts were also excellent, with an impressive array of cakes, pastries, mousse and ice creams. Truly exceptional.
We hope to return soon the next time we visit Queenstown, NZ.

โ โ โ โ โ Holy moly, the food was a ten, the service was a ten, the view and the atmosphere was an 11. We really wanted the seat in the corner, paid an extra $20 but the staff ensured we got it! just an amazing experience. Can not wait to visit again.

โ โ โ โ โ The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere (heh) and obviously the views were gorgeous, but the food was by far the most revolting food I have ever had at a restaurant. Especially at these prices.
My partner and I are here in traffic light red, so we had table service rather than buffet-style, so I don't know if the change in serving style affected the quality of food, but it was awful.
The chicken somehow managed to be extremely dry AND greasy at the same time. The steak tasted like it had been frying since 1993, and the salmon just tasted... Wet and burnt.
I had the mushroom ravioli and somehow the mushrooms were CRISPY. The inside of the ravioli was pretty cold and soggy, and it was SWIMMING in oil (photo attached.)
My partner had a vegetable curry with basmati rice, which he thought was ok but basic and not particularly flavoursome. He said it reminded him of food he cooked when he was a student.
The people serving us were generally pleasant and attentive, although it took 45 minutes for them to get our drinks to us.
The dessert share-plate was the best thing about it, but I could also buy a Sara Lee cheesecake and be just as satisfied.
Next time I get on the gondola, I think I'd rather just eat with the goats on the side of the hill.

โ โ โ โ โ Stratosfare Restaurant and Bar is an amazing restaurant atop the skyline gondola. With some of the best views of Lake Wakitipu, the Remarkables and Cecil Peak. The luge is right behind the restaurant and there's also a gift shop on site. The meals and drinks are phenomenal with views that are second to none.
