★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I have been dining here on our wedding anniversary almost every year since we moved to South Island. However, last Wednesday, December 15, 2021, our dining here was a disappointment. As usual, I ordered the beef steak. In the past, the steak came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Last Wednesday, it came with four slices of fried potatoes and six sticks of asparagus. The steak itself was tiny ... the sauce was awful ... unlike the usual tasty black pepper sauce ... my wife has fish of the day which was garoupa ... again ... the portion is small ... and it came with some weird taste vegetable patties ... it tasted awful and we don't know what is it ... we're not coming here again for our wedding anniversary dinner ... sorry ...

So delicious I have no room for the amazing deserts that tempt my palate.
Extra credit to our waiter Daniel who was very attentive and genuine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time visit and we were not disappointed. Fabulous waiting team, interactive, efficient and knowledgeable. Food was sublime. Beef fillet cooked to perfection. Desserts to die for. Will definitely be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an early lunch with friends, the kids picked from the kids menu and we 2x mums shared delish eggs benedict with salmon, we asked and were given 2 plates, and then shared caramel and chocolate cake ... I had an iced chai vanilla latte which was lovely. The kids chose to have ice cream sandwiches which they devoured. The staff were very friendly and polite, and gave the kids coloring in to do straight away. We enjoyed our lunch today ?

I had the perfectly cooked beef fillet and so far the best ONE I had in NZ much better than some fine dinning restaurants in 5 stars hotels in Auckland. The dessert plate was also good and tasty ?. Highly recommend to everyone!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food tasted amazing and presented beautifully. Was initially a bit confused about the entree/shared dish prices but the portions were actually quite large so made sense. Service also great. Huge windows give a good view of the sky on a good day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came just for the desserts and they were all good but the creme brûlée was spectacular. Delicious and had a generous portion size, with a sesame flake and some berry coulis on the side that added interesting flavours.
Our server was really lovely and attentive, they asked if we were celebrating anything and we got a happy birthday message written.
