★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here to get a pair of vintage jeans taken up and tapered to fit me better. Really wish I'd done more research before coming here.
Very, very dissapointed and completely regret coming here. The jeans are wearable now, but far from the perfect fitting professional job I had hoped (and payed) for. Next time I will either do it myself, or find a professional tailor service.
I don't have much experience with tailors, so I came in with the jeans and asked for their advice for taking them up and tapering them, the girl fitting me was very unresponsive and did not offer any professional advice.
It was very expensive to get them taken up and tapered ($50 - almost as much as the jeans themselves), I just trusted that it would be a professional job.
I was so dissapointed and upset when I recieved the jeans. They were far shorter than I had asked for, the tapering was so unprofessional and looked very awkward, and the worst part was that them hems were completely uneven. I was so shocked, it was an absolute joke.
I had to come back about 4 times for adjustments until the hem was finally straight and another girl managed to take the length down a little.

Noting this was a full silk dress was very impressed with their level of care and detail. Great turn and around and only $30. Thanks!

I took it to her with short notice (under three months) with tricky cap sleeve adjustments that she has done for me so perfectly. On top of that she has put in a bustle, taken in the waist and shortened delicate lace. Her care and attention to detail is second to none and she is always so friendly and welcoming! I highly recommend Sue!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Coming from Indonesia and Italy, i found it very difficult to find a profesional with a fair price seamstress in Wellington, so i decided to try this place after reading some reviews. I went to do some alteration to my coat on the shoulder and sleeves, picked up after a week and found that one of the inner sleeves was twisted, the lady was kind and told me to return back in 10 mins as she'll fix it but i found it very unprofesional, as they should check first once they have done with the alteration, luckily i asked her if i can try it on when i was there, otherwise i will only find out once i got home.
It wasn't even for a cheap price, i was expecting something better, but at least they are not butchering my coat.
