★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered online tonight, I asked for padthai, chicken extra peanuts and lemon, MILD. Very busy night myself, so finally managed to sit down hoping to eat 1.30 hrs later, I had been looking forward to my wkly takeaway only to find I couldn't bloody eat it? unsure how much Chilli they consider to be mild, but totally unedible, and disgusting. Not the first time either. I will not be going back...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow what happened. It’s wasn’t long ago that Sukhothai was amazing. Had takeaway last night. Was rubbish and overpriced. Would not recommend. Masaman curry was all liquid with chunks of overcooked chicken. Vegetable and cashews was like sweet and sour….odd. Try the other Thai in timaru. Very sad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First, the restaurant was not yet open when we arrived however a gentleman I suppose the owner was welcoming and invited us to come inside to eat. Very warm gesture. We then ordered some thailand staples, their paenang curry and pad thai. These were both very tasteful, decently spicy and the portion size was adequate. We also ordered the THAI MILK TEA. It arrived and was visually pleasant as well as being delicious.
All in all the meal was great and inexpensive and it is worth visiting if you are urged to dine some Asian cuisine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Plain rice is the best thing we ordered. Tempura shrimp were so dry— edible but dry. Soup was actually pretty good (3 stars). Fired rice tasted weird and bland at the same time. And we did this take away on Boxing Day- so extra 15% surcharge

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried first time. Garlic prawns 30$. Disappointed. Banana prawns but only 8. Dish was salty n oily which the jasmine rice (2$) helped to dampen the taste. Drink was total Thai. Don’t bother as it is just a mixture of different juices and not worth 8$.
For this dish. Taste and value 2/5

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had takeaways this evening. Absolutely beautiful! 2 servings of the chefs new pork & salad dish with sticky rice (yummy), beef satay, pad thai & jasmine rice. So so beautiful, sauces amazing! Will certainly be our favourite place when next down from ChCh.
