★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our regular go to spot in Auckland for quality, pumping hot, fresh dim sum. You are seated quickly even when busy and then it is just a delicious feast of Cantonese delicacies.
Tried Yum Cha all over the world and this place is right up there with the best....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lack of yumcha options and the quality in food really went down. The pork ribs were so chewy it was unedible. Quite disappointing as they use to be quite good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Customer service by the lady waiter given to us on our visit today was very rude and unwelcoming unable to recall her name as she was not wearing a name badge. Made us feeling like we were not welcomed. Asked for forks was given by placing on the table with a very angry attuite. Ask for something that I could not find on the menu but had it on our previous visit without hearing me out simply said they dont have it. We then asked another waiter and he then asked the kitchen and it was arranged. The very rude waiter delivered our order and ask how we order this. Brought a friend to this restaurant for the 1st time to experience yum cha did not have a good 1st impression. Very disappointed. Never coming back to this place for yum cha.

With these covid time you have to go get your own hot sauce but that's just covid-time for ya.
Went several time in the week I was there... definitely better than others I went to.
Spinach prawn or chive prawn dumplings a favourite and an egg tart for dessert.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my preferred place if I craved for dim sum occasionally. I was skeptical when I read the reviews about their standard after the chg of ownership. In my opinion it's the same, dumpling has big cut of prawns, taste fresh and no fridge freezed taste. The egg tarts were good , BBQ pork pie is good, no fatty meat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is always good but the service consistently awful. And they will not allow more than one payment per table unlike every other restaurant in town. We were there last night and, while all the little places on Khyber Pass were packed, Sun World was virtually empty. No complaints on the food but maybe their business would improve if they cared more about their customers than their own convenience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have been here a number of time. Just had lunch with my family a couple of days ago. The restaurant was pleasant and sitting was comfortable. Not too crowded this day. The service was friendly and efficient. Good portion of food and taste was good. A good place for yum cha. Recommended if you are around the area and looking for a place for yum cha.
