A client of Synergy wanted to go get head foils done, & she wanted her dark roots bleached, and the lady advised her that the rest of the hair will stay silver grey throughout the session, fast forward, after her hair was done, all her silver grey was dyed into blonde, her roots are orange, some areas black & some areas blonde. She was very unsatisfied and paid $270 for it, then she went back into store to request a refund but they wouldn’t issue her a refund and constantly kept declining. She then had to email and direct message the store but they wouldn’t get back to her til Monday. A story was posted by the client on instagram tagging synergy salon and her results & then one of the workers threatened her with a lawyer and tried to make her take down the post then he later unsent the message. In the end, she goes in the next day again for a refund and they offered her store credit instead? I find this in my opinion, unprofessional, rude and poor work ethics. If a customer is dissatisfied and she was told that she would get good results achieved with an initial budget and then in conclusion, results weren’t near the colour as requested Synergy should take that seriously and into consideration. Synergy should definitely put customers first rather than your own business. She requested a refund as she is not interested in coming back to Synergy Manukau hair, don’t appreciate rude workers & can’t trust that level of service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff (Indian guy probably manager) is very rude and doesnt know anything about customer service. Till the time you are spending money at that shop, he will smile and greet and the moment you are not happy with product or service, he will avoid you and show arrogance and ignorance. Not happy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m not sure why they have such a low score, unless people are paying for a junior to cut, and expecting a “senior” style. You pay for what you get and the senior stylists are great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have a fear of haircuts, but Rebecca did a very good job on my hair. Very happy with the layers and trim, and the staff have always been super friendly whenever I’ve gone in there :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had keratin treatment. Indian girl didn't deep shampoo and had to take me back to basin to deep shampoo. Started blowing drying and asked her if she was doing a dry or wet keratin she stated that is the only way to get a keratin treatment which is a lie. She then started to apply treatment with a broken comb that was stabbing my scalp. I told her and she looked at me angry but I said change the comb or I will leave. After enduring this unprofessional services she was blowing drying the product and her technique was all wrong blowing product in my eyes on my face, I told her and she stopped and just looked at me with disgust. I told her manager and he said he was sorry. I have been going here for over 4 years and never had this level of poor service so I will not be going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gave the inspiration picture of what I was looking to have, walked in with a full head of hair, and the stylist fully disregarded what I had asked for and cut my hair to the smallest inches, she then continued to try and cover up her mistakes by telling me “your hair do would look better with a full face make up look”
She knew this was my first time at a salon and failed to give me ways to see if I was okay with what was happening.
I will surely not be returning here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been to the Manukau branch several times using 3 different stylists for hair colour/highlights & cut and I have always walked away with no issues. I use to go to Schnips but happened upon this salon cause they use afterpay & laybuy. Tried them once & now I have no reason to change. ? I find the male receptionist very polite & welcoming, and the staff lovely too so yep I'm sticking with them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got my highlights done from them & got a different quote at the time of booking appointment where I clearly mentioned that I don’t want to get blow done on that day.
But after the highlights they did the blow dry without my knowledge & asked me to pay extra for it(which I thought is part of the package to dry my hair after taking colour out of my head)
Dealt with Owner of the saloon, not very happy with service as they mislead you.
Just give one star because of the lady who coloured my hair did great job.
