★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The view here is spectacular to say the least, such rich history, I recommend families to bring their kids here to appreciate what sacrifices were made in our troubled past. Just to see those guns and the struggles armies around the world had to go through fighting for freedom. Parking is at the bottom and you have to complete an easy walk to reach the summit. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing view, the walk itself has history. The air you breathe is meditating, just beautiful. I loved it every moment of this place. I will visit again, salute to all those who fought in world war 2!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning views of the city and surrounding bay. Highest point in Devonport area. Has a small bunker and gun as a bonus perk for visitors interested in history. Believe it was built in the late 19th century.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best views in Auckland in my opinion. Cars no longer allowed to drive up so a steep walk at a gentle pace is required..but the view rewards are worth it. There is car parking space near the base of the hill

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I should have come here sooner because I dare say that Mt Victoria has even better 360° views than North Head, plus it's taller. There's a few benches looking out towards the city plus a nice and flat park area on top of what must have been an old underground bunker (as seen by the mushroom painted ventilation pipes). Plus, there's another one of the century-old, 8" disappearing guns to walk around too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic view!!! For the maps lovers there is a stone map very cool to see the closest locations to mount Victoria. Take some photos on the red mushrooms.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the many volcanoes in and around Auckland. Takarunga was once a pa (a fort) some time ago. Most importantly, it's hosts some pretty good views of the city

Love this spot! Note - No vehicle access from 2/3 way up. But a nice 5-10 min walk to the summit.
