★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good stop. Google New Plymouth attractions, and you will NOT find this listed, which is a pity. It name is a bit misleading because aviation is somewhat limited. It has a lonely rotary engine NZDF trainer airplane. From the outside it looks like a series of sheds, but incredible variety. Honestly some of the displays look dangerous, so probably shouldn't take kids under 6.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Actually pretty good wee place. Wander around to your heart's content. Touch and hop in most stuff ( that's a great aspect )
There is a neat plane exhibition, some farm machinery, some cool switch boards as well as historical kitchen stuff.
We went her for two+ hours and enjoyed ourselves. Kids found it very fun and memorable.
A great attraction and very affordable too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So much stuff from the past and so many categories covered. It is very interesting to see how things have changed over the years. The museum covers transportation, agriculture, communication, aviation, household and much more. I highly recommend it if you are in the area.
