Was going to be 3 days, made it 4 nights.
Good to enjoy the mountains, lake and snow in the distance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were very lucky to have stunning weather and we're blown away by how beautiful Te Anau is. Everywhere you look is like a postcard picture! The town was great too, lots of fantastic places to eat and the people were so friendly and welcoming. Even the sandflied were relatively kind and left us alone most of the time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Natural lake, close to the Kepler track lots of water activities. Go to the south end and jump off the wharf (Do a manu). The wharf is featured in a TV ad, so is the dairy on the main Street.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Te Anau Lake was the departure point for the Milford hike. We took the ferry from here to the start of the hiking point. A beautiful, quiet lake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful town which has been unfortunately affected by Covid. We still managed to enjoy the Rushing Waters Glow worm caves. Highly recommended.
