β β β β β My husband loves the paella on Fridays so we come here. I beg you Tasca to bring the potato pizza back onto the lunch and dinner menu. Also, staff need to wear their masks properly. Love the Spanish staff member who served us. She was fabulous.

β β β β β Second time here since they opened. Attentive and friendly staff. Love the change of Cafe style seating to much more comfortable bistro style. The extension is fantastic and so is the generous happy hour timings! Yet to eat here but it's next on the list for date night with the wife. Good luck Tasca Beach Orewa.

β β β β β Tasca beach is a family favourite for us. My daughter and her family are self isolating so we picked up takeaway tapas as a treat for them(and our household also). Absolutely delicious! Thoroughly enjoyed having a backyard picnic with the tapas β€οΈ. We had most of the tapas menu but I only managed to photograph 4 dishes - seared beef quesadillas, bombas, walnut chicken and atun sesamo. We look forward to dining in next time.

β β β β β Great food and wonderful service. Kid friendly too. Just across the beach - so can't go wrong with the location. Went for a brunch over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised at the "kids eat free" offer.

β β β β β Ordered the roasted lamb as it was one of the restaurant's "signature dish". Supposedly fall off the bone tender as per description, but it was chewy, dry and flavourless -- totally not impressed with the burnt sprig of rosemary that looked as if it was collected from the planter beside the entrance/door. It doesn't add anything to the dish flavour wise - just ruins the plating and the flavour. The dessert (panna cotta) and drinks are also mediocre. Very expensive pricing for the quality of food.
Foh staff are not attentive - doesn't smile or greet the customers.

Hi, first of all I apologized if you think that my review was a personal attack against your establishment. If you think I was being too harsh, i will change the stars so hopefully it wont affect your rating but my review will remain the same.
I did not intend to ruin your reputation, i was just writing based on my experience.
I have been in the industry for almost two decades, travelled the world and tried different restaurants and cuisines, and in my opinion, customers feedback is one of the most effective way to improve the business in terms of quality of food and service.
I invited a friend of mine to dine at Tasca as people in the community were raving about the Tapas, and how it's a must try. I would have tried it but that little note that says "Tasca's signature dish" from the mains caught my eye, so I ordered it instead and save the tapas for the next visit.
I expected a lot from the meal - food quality and all as it was NOT CHEAP and I trust the people who gave good reviews about it.
I waited and waited and it finally arrived, my first reaction was that It does not look the same as those photos that were posted online including the burnt sprig of rosemary, and when I tried it, it did not stand to its description.
So to finish this comment as its getting too long, When someone criticize my establishment, i take it as a gift so I can improve and be better and will never get offended if someone has constructive criticism. I'm not here to win any arguments I'm just here to give my professional opinion. Regarding my comment about the other establishment that I went to with my friends few weeks back, would you smile and be happy when the staff takes your plate while you're still eating with a fork on your hand? You may also want to read all the good reviews I posted from other restaurants such as Due Amici as they did very well with regards to food quality and service. Again, no personal attacks, just constructive criticism as we paid $76 for one main dish, a small dessert and a drink.

β β β β β Always good food here, although the only downside is that the food is horrendously expensive for what it is. They cater for coeliac which is a massive plus, and there is many items on the menu which can be made gluten contamination free.

β β β β β My second time to dine here and it never disappoints. So glad that me and my partner went for lunch and decided to share everything as it's a big portion. Everything was amazing! My favorite part is the dessert! Baklava was so outstanding! Just melts in your mouth and I'm speechless about it. Makes me want to make my own. Will definitely come back. This is surely highly recommended!
