Historical station premises have been tidied up, and to some extent, modernised. More open air and upmarket than its former feel/look. Some smart finishing and painting give it a more welcome and friendly appearance. Enhancements seem to be continuing.
A local facility in the heart of Taumarunui near to clean toilets and a nice range of retail facilities - including a nice range of bakery, cafes and restaurants.
Local staff/team members have a sense of the special site in addition to being a functional service centre.
