About Taylor Automotive / Edgell Performance
With new challenges in technology and the advancement in the Motorsport industry, Taylor Automotive acquired Edgell Automotive in 2018 to expand into the race engine and tuning sector. Randell Edgell is a wealth of knowledge and is a very valued part in the future and growth of the Taylor Automotive group. Edgell Performance is a brand name of Taylor Automotive and operates in parallel with the machine and service shop from its facility on Auckland's North Shore.
Taylor Automotive has a combined team of 15 great staff, including four who have been with the company for over 35 years. Our talented staff have a common goal of machining and building the best engines in the industry!

β β β β β Great experience and I especially applaud their integrity as a business. My car had a strange noise coming from the front driver side wheel. Booked an appointment and had them look into the problem. Within 30 mins, I got call saying that they found a stone inside the brake rotor and problem solved!
They addressed the matter directly (including explaining the problem in simple language).I like how to put themselves as a garage first, salesman second. Definitely recommend and will be back :)

β β β β β Awesome guys to deal with. I had a full engine recondition done by them on a European car and they did an awesome job and have fixed the oil consumption issue.. They were great at explaining everything to me and how it all worked etc. I am so pleased I took my car to them instead of Giltraps who wouldn't have done it to the same level of quality and repair. Very happy with quality of work and time taken (2 days) price was responsible and was exactly the estimate they told me it was when I dropped it off.

β β β β β Got my car helicoiled, they said having metal shavings is ok. Engine wouldnt turn after, opened the heads and saw it all stuck to the pistons. Lazy job, didn't admit their fault or come down to have a look. WOULD not recommend.
