This place is awesome! We were passing through on a bike packing weekend. The provided hot food options even though the kitchen wasn't fully open and the coffee was great. The cultural experience of walking through the replica village sounds good but we didn't have time as we had to beat the weather.

Informative visit, highly recommend all people to embrace and experience the essence of our Maori heritage. We were hosted by Annie, Linda and other local families sharing their history and empowering gifts which will truly enrich your understanding of an indigenous culture. Very grateful to you all for an incredibly rewarding experience. I came away from this treasured setting with an extremely thankful heart with the echo of "Hold on to your dream"... break through every barrier and never quit.

We took our staff to the Marae, as a taste of bicultural life. We enjoyed a robust Powhiri from our hosts, and they enjoyed our song and speakers speech. Afterwards we went to the working village, a taste of Maori life from the late 1800's when settlers were starting to come to New Zealand.
