★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an amazing tour with so much of heritage and culture shown in the artwork and the excellent 4D Theatre experience too. Captures the heart of Kupe and his journeys with such detail. Learnt alot. A must see!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I attended twice in one week, once for work and again with my husband...it was that good. The tour, carvings, show and information centre are exceptional. I had different guides on both days and enjoyed the variety they offered but must say the first visit had a young man chanting a mihi whakatau before each pou and that was very moving. The way staff took care of us and in particular the older members in each tour group was outstanding and a credit to their training. The food truck offered great food and drink selections and the gift shop products were of very good quality. The entire complex was immaculately tidy and welcoming. Highly recommend a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nothing can prepare you for the experience had at this amazing new venture! If you're in the Hokianga, it is only right to be at Manea and take in the journey through history in a way that is above and beyond your typical museum experience!
Appreciate the role of the younger generations who pay tribute to their ancestor Kupe whose role and influence have seen the natural beauty of what can be beheld from the sea, land and sky.
Definitely a must do/see!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome immersion in to Maori culture. Loved hearing their creation story. Went and saw the giant native trees the night before. Combining the 2 really enhances the experience and Billy was an awesome guide in the forrest.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a must!! So much love and care has gone into portraying the story of Kupe, the Hokianga region and the culture that followed. A really important place to visit and connect with (especially as a Kiwi myself). The carvings are stunningly beautiful and the guides are so welcoming and informative. The performance was immersive and deeply powerful. Loved everything about this place and would highly recommend for all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful experience for my family and me. The tour was informative and captured the spirit of the Maori people. Our guides were great their performances were perfect. The video and effects show was top notch. It made Disneyland's theater look like child's play. Well worth the money, plus we got some good fish and chips on Opononi. We also got to see the Koutu Boulders.

Thank you for having our group for the day, we all totally enjoyed every part of it.
Our group also booked a room for a team meeting, which was another bonus to have a nice view out the window while working. Too bad I forgot to take my fishing gears to have a quick cast, but that just leaves it open for us to come back to visit
