64 year olds, medium fitness, took us 1.10hr to the top and 1.20hr coming back using loop route. Walking on tree roots most of the time. A good walk. Great view.

Nice walk through the bush to the Lookout at the top which has awesome views of the surrounding country and out as far as the Firth of Thames on a good day. The shorter more direct route was relatively good to walk with the last 200-300m being much steeper but manageable. A longer walk takes a southerly route back down to the car and appeared more challenging as it was wetter in places and had more uphill sections. The allocated times for both routes are generous and I completed the round trip in 2 hours not taking into account a good breather at the top to enjoy the view.

The place to go too get away from others. LOL Only saw 2 others on the whole track. Pretty awesome view at the summit to boot. PS. 2 hours return is plenty of time.

From a running perspective. Short, but hard and technical trail to a platform with a fantastic view. Under shade the whole trail. The trail is quite slippery (this was a day after heavy rain), and full of roots and fallen trees. It is clearly and regularly marked with orange triangle markers. The last 500 metres on the climb (anticlockwise) is very difficult.

I'm super unfit and did the anti clockwise track in 2hours. 1hour, and 1 hour down. Track was just a nice mild incline, till about 15min from summit, then became more challenging. The only downside is that the track down is not super well marked and I almost went off track a few times and had to back track. But otherwise its a lovely walk, is really peaceful and the summit views are amazing! I will definitely be doing it again.

Fantastic hike, had it all to myself which was lovely but also a shame for others not to be out enjoying it. Make sure to pay real attention to the orange markers as easy at times to lose sight of path due to fallen foliage from storms etc.
