β β β β β Madly popular place during the main holidays for people who like to be at the edge of a lake and persue water sports. Mature trees for shade and an ablution block make this basic camping experience a typical Kiwi holiday spot. Close to but away from the main traffic route, nights are silent and the kids are safe as long as you take standard precautions around water.

β β β β β Wonderful, clean space to camp for free by the river. It has nearby toilets and the area is quite large. The people maintaining this place are doing a great job.

β β β β β Horahora Domain is a very pretty spot for a stopover night. We arrived late in the evening but there were still quite a few spots left.
The toilets are fine, but there aren't any lights so I had to use my cellphone.
The grounds keeper is very friendly and talkative.
All in all a great spot that is totally free!
