Heard it was great and the Waihou Blue Springs river walk is simply stunning. An easy 800m meander with views along the way.

Great walk for everyone including small kids, pretty much a flat track with minor inclines, very scenic and a must see for everyone

This is an unbelievable place to visit. Nature in all its peaceful glory, and water so fresh, we filled our bottles straight from the flowing spring!

The Blue Spring – Te Waihou Walkway is open all year round. We took our lunch and enjoyed the water views, but please take your rubbish with you. Although there is no swimming allowed at the Blue Spring itself you can swim at the Whites Rd end car park and along the Te Waihou river at various points. If you plan on trying your hand at fishing for those beautiful trout along the way, don’t forget to buy a fishing license. Beautiful spot we went to the walkway end which is off the main road. Plenty of parking and the walkway to spring is 800 metres. But. A couple kilometres from the other end. Would class the walk as easy.

Great walk, about 4.5 kms one way. Following along the Blue Springs water flow. Stunning colours in the water especially with the water being crystal clear and very cold. Some beautiful native bush and bird life. Well worth the walk. Toilets area posted along the walk

Has a very big car park area has toilet and tables, the walk along the river is on a well maintained track goes in and out of cover, the water is beautiful crystal clear spring water and very cold, there is a shallow area of water to swim in after your walk near the bridge. There is a toilet 1km into the walk, there are also 2 sets of steps very easy though. There is another toilet not long before you get to the other end of the walk (Blue Springs Parking area)
