★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An awesome walk with great views of the Tasman Sea and Golden Bay. 8km long.3-5hrs. The route is marked by poles on the hilltop but you can avoid lots of ups and downs by skirting the tops and going around the sides.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was alot of money to spend on a tour but well worth it! 6 and a half hours and no stress of driving, you can't walk it or drive it yourself so it's the only way. Driver full of info as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome walk over the hills starting at Wharariki Beach, over the hills to Cape Farewell and on to Pillar Point lighthouse. Although a track as such is not always defined there are markers along the way to keep you heading in the right spot.
After we got to the lighthouse, rather than continuing to Puponga, we just retraced our steps and went back down to Cape Farewell where we could then walk the gravel road back to our campsite at Wharariki Beach.
Fantastic views all along the way. Can see Farewell Spit when you reach the lighthouse.
