I came here just to have some snacks and a drink. Food took a little to come however the staff was very friendly and informed me about the delay. in addition to that they also got me a beer on the house due to the delay. This is extremely good customer service and I would recommend this pub to anyone and everyone to have a good time. Thank you, The Jolly Pub and Kitchen very happy customer!

β β β β β A good local gastro pub that prides itself on the quality of its food. Sunday brunch is nice with a range of protein-laden meals on the menu. Poached eggs on sourdough with a side of bacon hit the spot. The funky chicken burger with fries comes with chipotle or hot sauce with a kick. The coffee is just filter (no espresso) so be prepared if youβre after a caffeine hit. Excellent service from very friendly staff.

β β β β β Menu looks nice for mains, but not varied for bar snacks. Good range of beers (DB Bar). We popped in for a few drinks and guess we came in at the wrong time as the service wasnβt all that great and got the strong feeling we were being kicked out so they could close. We arrived just before 7pm on a Wednesday.
Atmosphere was non existent as there was no music playing and felt like a library. Would not have minded if we were told from the get go that they were closing soon. But we werenβt and therefore did not feel welcomed.

β β β β β Had a very enjoyable experience at The Butcher and Brewer. The food was incredible. The scotch fillet and crayfish was lovely but the dessert took the win! It was called chocolate bomb. It was honestly the best dessert I have had in a long time. All the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. I wish I remembered our servers name so I could tell their manager how fantastic they were. Thank you guys for a lovely dinner!

β β β β β Last night my husband and I went down to The Butcher and Brewer to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. The staff were lovely and helpful. We ordered the pork belly which was absolutely amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection, we were both so impressed with our meal. I then ordered the chocolate bomb for desert, which I actually managed to take a picture of. This was incredible, and great to share with my wonderful husband. The hot chocolate melted the chocolate bomb and it was an amazing mixture of textures and flavours. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu. Thanks to the great team for making my anniversary dinner memorable β€

β β β β β This place has a relaxing atmosphere. Big TV screens if you donβt want to talk to anyone and a decent drinks menu if you do. The steak and chips were well prepared. The salad was too bitter, but all praise to the chef even though our taste in salad differs. Thanks for soldiering on through covid. Iβll be back.

β β β β β Went for a quick drink and food while in my trip from Auckland to Wellington. It was recommended by my friend for it good ambience, nice food and friendly service. Well, the recommendation was not wrong. Every cent spent was worthy. Kudos to its staffs (service staff for great hospitality and kitchen staff for great food). Definitely, will come back for food and beer served. My wife loved the vodka-based cocktail named Rose Bud and the BBQ pork ribs is a must try.
