★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The woman’s bathroom did not have enough toilets or showers for the number of people in the camp site (only one toilet/shower block to accomodate for all guests). Facilities gross and dirty with no evidence of a cleaning schedule. Poor signage. Whilst advertised as a lakeside camping ground this wasn’t evident from where we were placed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'd give this place 7 Stars if there was such a provision! For a kiwi campground, you'd think you were in the wilderness of Canada or someplace else! The views across the glistening lake to the majestic mountain ranges are to DIE for!!! Safari and Denver tents dotted around the lake edge and outdoor BBQ's for convenience, drift off to sleep listening to the whir of the wind through the pine trees, with the odd hoot of an owl or kkkk of an oppossum ... defo bucketlist travel stuff if you're visiting SI New Zealand!!! Thanks Sarah & Team!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent camp, the way family camping used to be, decent sized camp sites also. The fishing was fantastic and the camp team were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be coming back here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Crowded and noisy. The noise curfew (10:30pm) was not enforced on the one night we stayed. We went to (what we were told was) the 'quieter' area. However loud music, voices, door slams etc. continued past 1am.
Sites are not allocated so the whole camping area was just a bit of a mess of vehicles and sprawling tents.
This is all a shame because the location but the lake is great. Facilities seemed nice enough but we didn't see all of them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heaps of space, super helpful staff, beautiful backdrop and an open fire for everyone to take advantage of. It has all the amenities of a good campsite (power, kitchen, hot water) and is the best priced campsite in the area. Regular music in summer, with an outdoor restaurant incase you get hungry. It's a place locals go for a good time as well as a place to get lost in the wild.
Big shout out to Angie! She was so good to my partner and I.
Thank you Angie!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Poor signage, poor powered site markings. Noisy first night, party going on until 1:30am. Dirty, dated bathrooms. This camp definitely needs some work. The price was excellent and the location unbeatable. Would think twice about returning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in the large bell tent and loved it. Beautiful views by the lake. The tent was very comfy, especially the bed. Good vibes in this camp ground. Family friendly has all the facilities you need and helpful staff. Definitely coming back next year ?
